We are a loving church where Jesus Is Lord! with a congregation of families, men and women, marrieds and unmarrieds, young and old that love God! We have a heart to obey God according to the rightly divided preaching and teaching of His Word. Liberation A.M.E. Zion church that has an impact in the lives of its members and a longstanding presence in its local community. This ministry impacts communities and families for 30 years starting with the Founding Pastor Charles W. Thurman Sr., and now lead by the current Senior. Pastor Dr Charles W. Thurman Jr.
There is a lot happening at Liberation! This Kingdom driven ministry of Liberation AME Zion Church ministers to members from all walks of life. Liberation is a growing congregation full of Young Adults, Youth, Marriage Couples, Singles and children who share in a wide variety of exciting ministries. At the core of our Ministry, which undergirds the call of outreach carried out through the heart of Pastor Thurman and the members of Liberation, is a ministry that is patterned after the heart of God which persuades us to meet people at their point of need. Outreach that justifies our up-reach is at the heart of our Ministry.
This is a teaching ministry designed to help its membership to live successful Christian lives. Our members are taught that we are blessed to be a blessing and members are highly encouraged to join one of the dozens of volunteer ministries. Members are oriented to the Body of Christ and the local church and then are encouraged to complete our NEW MEMBERS CLASS. This helps to educate Christians in their faith and ground them to their responsibility to give back to the church and the Body of Christ.
