Fine Arts

The Purpose of the Fine Arts Ministry is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Creative Arts. To seek and save them which are lost, and to bring the saved to an understanding of God’s word through dramatic presentations. 

It is a ministry for the whole family. It provides great fellowship for all ages from 5 to 105 and is excellent for people who want to enhance all aspects of effective communication. 

 

 

What to expect

TRAINING PROVIDED BY MINISTRY: The Fine Arts Ministry will help train actors, actresses, writers, graphic artists, video specialists, carpenters, audio/visual specialists, make up artists and seamstresses to utilize their gifts for kingdom building.

(Meeting day(s) and time, serving time, training days, etc.):

Fine Arts Ministry meets regularly on most Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. depending on our production schedule. (Note: Specific meeting dates and additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed.  All rehearsal notices are posted to the Fine Arts Ministry Realm group.)

Additional Information

  • PARENTS OF CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD MUST JOIN WITH THEIR CHILD (Age 12 and above)
  • You must have a willing mind, a heart to serve and the gift of giving yourself.
  • You need a true commitment to God when you give self to enter the ministry of Fine Arts.

Wedding Coordinating

The Purpose of the Wedding Coordinating Ministry is to assist couples who have completed pre-marital counseling, and couples renewing their vows in the planning of their entire wedding and reception, ensuring that the celebration glorifies God.  Act as a liaison between couples, all involved ministries of the church, as well as the Office of the Pastor.

What to expect

The ministry conducts a training workshop at the beginning of the each year.  In addition, practical experience is garnered when assigned to work with seasoned coordinators on all phases of the wedding planning process, which encompasses the initial meetings with couples, rehearsal, ceremony, reception, and how to handle vendors and outside wedding coordinators.

Additional Information

Members work together in unity and exemplify their oneness to couples, the ministries of FTHCM, and to God.

The Purpose of the Special Services Ministry is to ensure that the ministering of the Gospel goes forth unhindered, by providing the temporal provisions necessary, which includes but not limited to, the opening, monitoring, and closing all church facilities/grounds; and assuring the safety of our Pastor, his family and the congregation.

Helps Ministry

The Purpose of the Helps Ministry is to provide a wide range of support services to various ministries based on operational and administrative needs such as event registration, hospitality, and information center services. They also coordinate serves, and assists in the preparation of the food for the monthly New Member’s Orientation Class, church wide fellowships, Family Fun Day, and other special events upon request.

What to expect

TRAINING PROVIDED BY MINISTRY

  • How to provide hospitality and administrative support of classes and events.
  • How to comfort and families serve at Homegoing or Memorial Service Repasts.

Additional Information

  • We have a desire to serve with  willing hands, willing minds, and willing hearts
  • Helps Ministry colors:
  • Helps Ministry generally wears any combination of yellow and white for life-givers;
  • Yellow shirts, khaki pants for male seeds.
  • Repast Team – Black and white.

New Converts-New Members Ministry

The Purpose of the New Converts Ministry is to nurture new converts into knowing who they are in God’s eyes and assist them in understanding the meaning of salvation and how it will affect their lives. The members of the Ministry leads and encourages New Converts into becoming attached and fully committed to a Bible believing, Bible teaching church to begin their walk towards a fulfilled, functional life in Christ Jesus.

The primary purpose of the New Members Ministry is to minister the services of welcoming new members into the Body of Christ and registering them into From the Heart Church Ministries membership.  The ministry is also responsible for maintaining an accurate account of all first time visitors to the church.

 

What to expect

  • A new member is oriented by the Ministry Head.
  • A new member is assigned to a mentor (a ministry member) for hands on training and guidance.
  • All new members to the ministry, as well as members returning from an extended leave of absence, will receive training by the NMM Training Team.  New ministry workers are required to attend a short training session and, thereafter, are assigned a mentor to work with them for several months.  This ensures that day-by-day and week-by-week, ministry workers are strengthened in what they have been taught.

Additional Information

  • Other assistance to the ministry includes:
  • Youth who have the heart to encourage other young people in their Christian walk.
  • Persons with administrative/secretarial skills

Photography Ministry

PURPOSE OF THE MINISTRY

  • To photographically document the people, places, and events in the life of the local church for historical preservation.
  • To provide photographic images in support of publications, Media initiatives, event planning brochures, bulletins, FTH website, Archive, and other FTH ministries.
  • To glorify God through the lens by capturing images of excellence.

What to expect

There are three training levels of photography covered in this ministry: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

 We also hold various workshops throughout the year and provide on-location mentoring.

Additional Information

No equipment or experience is required to join the ministry; however, a passion for photography will enable the light to flow from within.

None Like Us

The purpose of the this ministry is to develop a cadre of children and youth who would live for and serve God uncompromisingly by teaching them godly principles, values, practical life examples, and Christ-centered lessons based upon the rightly divided Word of God and the Doctrine and Theology of FTHCM.

What to expect

Orientation for new NLU Volunteers is held every other month as needed.  Each Volunteer will also attend a training workshop designed to orientate them to the current year teaching Curriculum.  Additionally, Volunteers will be assigned to serve with a Teaching Team where they will observe and assist while becoming acclimated to the work of the Church School or None Like Us Ministries.  Teaching Teams serve by rotating every three weeks or once per month for NLU. Completion of the class “Teaching From Gift to Practice,” offered by the School of Knowledge, is highly recommended to help prepare Teachers naturally and spiritually.

The Purpose of the men’s Fellowship Ministry

  • To be an avenue through which men can be reconciled to God.
  • To be an avenue to restore the male seed to his created role.

What to expect

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast Meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m.

Those with kitchen certification are needed.
